Karen is an internationally recognized occupational therapy educator, researcher, and past president of the American Occupational Therapy Association. She mentors practitioners in teaching, scholarship, leadership, and career development, with decades of experience guiding OTs toward their next chapter.

Dr. Liat Gafni-Lachter, PhD, OTD
Liat is a researcher, educator, and practitioner with over two decades of experience in occupational therapy education and evidence-based practice. She mentors practitioners in clinical excellence, research, program development, and purposeful career design. Liat is also the creator of Better Together, a research-backed course on family-centered practice for pediatric clinicians.
